FUTURESHOCK WRESTLING – MAY IV: Preview

This coming weekend sees fans of Star Wars and Wrestling come together for MAY the 4TH (be with you), as Futureshock Wrestling presents MAY IV at The UNION in Manchester as it sees another top card being put together by the company. Two titles will be defended, with both the Adrenaline and Futureshock Championships being decided on this special show. However, due to a disturbance in the force – it saw the Futureshock Council deciding to bring the show forward to the earlier start time of 1pm as to avoid the ‘Backlash’.

FUTURESHOCK CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: JOE BLAZR (C) vs SCOTT OBERMAN W/E.KELLY

Top of the bill sees the long awaited match for the Futureshock Championship as Joe Blazr puts his title on the line against the challenger Scott Oberman along with his apprentice in training in Ethan Kelly. It was back at The Union in January when Oberman defeated ‘Dynamite’ Lee Dawson in the final of Lotto Thunder to gain the number one contendership, as this now gives Oberman the opportunity to finish the story, and become the new Futureshock Champion.

TAG TEAM MATCH: DAMON LEIGH & LILY WINTER v TONY WRIGHT & LEAH RAVEN

We’ll also see Tag Team action when the former Futureshock champion in ‘Deadly’ Damon Leigh teams up with one of the rising stars of the Women’s division in Lily Winter, as they face the ‘the leading man’ Tony Wright and his partner in the FSW Women’s champion, the ‘Empress of Anarchy’ Leah Raven in an intriguing encounter. Both teams have someone who holds a better win-loss record over their respective opponents, as Leigh & Raven hold the upper hand against Wright and Winter. That said, a win for either of the latter two could help to boost their hopes of being back in their respective title picture once again.

‘MILLENNIUM FALCON ‘JAMES GRAYSON’ vs ‘THE HUNTER’ BRIAC STRONG

We’ve the singles’ debut of the ‘Millennium Falcon’ James Grayson, as the Futureshock ‘wookie’ (sorry) faces one of the toughest and most dangerous men on the roster today in ‘The Hunter’ Briac Strong. ‘The Hunter’ has been having some ongoing problems with the Futureshock head coach in Sam Bailey for quite a while now, but having him face one of Bailey’s new fresh faces to the promotion will no doubt give him a chance to send a message through Grayson to the head coach of the P.C at MAY 4TH.

2-ON-1 HANDICAP MATCH: TROY RYAN vs THE HORDE (SOLOMON & GORGON)

Troy Ryan, one half of The Meat Wagon, will aim to get his hands on Gorgon finally this Saturday, but he’ll have to do so by way of a 2-on-1 handicap match against The Horde, with Gorgon and his Monster Solomon looking to take the other half of Meat Wagon out. The Horde have been wreaking havoc since they first linked up back in March, as their first official action saw Solomon destroying both The Meat Wagon and Forbidden Planet at Reality Check. Following their debut match and win last month at Danger Zone, it saw the aftermath having both saw Anderson Daniels and Ryan getting their hands on their foe, only to have him spray mist in the eyes of Daniels and evade danger once again. However, Ryan told FSW his plans, “On 4th May I don’t care how many of you there are in The Horde. Once I get my hands on you it’s over.” One thing for sure, Ryan will be hoping his plans work or he’ll be up Sith creek!

F.T.M vs FORBIDDEN PLANET

Speaking of the tag team division, two of Futureshock’s high flying skywalkers if you will in Aiton Steen and Starkiller Dave Birch of Forbidden Planet meet the F.T.M, with Tom McColl and Jack Critchlow’s recent results being as successful as a stormtrooper’s shot. But a win for Critchy and McColl could have the Scouse duo rewarded down the line, while Forbidden Planet will look to draw strength and momentum on the most special of all days for them on May the 4th.

ADRENALINE TITLE MATCH: LANCE REVERA vs CHRIS RIDGEWAY(C)

The Futureshock Adrenaline Championship will also be up for grabs, as the Grand Slam winning Chris Ridgeway will put his newly won title on the line for the first time since winning it in one of the most incredible matches saw in a Futureshock ring, as he faces the man he choked out to become champion in ‘the Playboy Prince’ Lance Revera. This sees a return match from Reality Check, where both men traded blow for blow, hold for hold, as Revera came out on top last time out with some dark arts. Their first battle was memorable but we’ll see the two square off one more time for the Adrenaline title, as it will be an epic fight to rival that of Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader, and have the winner effectively saying ‘I’m your Father!’.

See you at The Union y’all!!!
